The
festival will present over 24 feature films (most accompanied
by one or two entertaining shorts). Nearly all of the
feature films will have a community partner - a nonprofit
or like organization that has a mission consistent with
the subject matter of the film. The community partners
will have a representative available at the end of each
film for Q & A and to direct perople who wish to
get more involved in a particular issue. For more information
on becoming a community partner click
here or see below.
Community partners are generally membership
organizations with memberships ranging from several
hundred to several thousand. The Community Partners
will inform their membership of the festival and Community
Partner membership represents a targeted audience of
over 20,000 people.
Sponsorship
There are essentially two levels
of sponsorship: event sponsor and film
sponsor, though for a hybrid or custom sponsorship
arrangement can be made.
Event Sponsor
Event Sponsors will receive:
- Company name/logo provided as hotlink on the festival
homepage and throughout online program listings
- Company name/logo provided on posters distributed
around town
- Company name/logo projected on screen before each
film
- Company name/logo provided on cover of festival
program
- Company verbally recognized and thanked by person
introducing film
- Table in theatre lobby for company to display information
- Company spokesperson can address audience at opening
night
- At an additional negotiated cost, company name/logo
in two Willamette Week advertisements and/or company
name/logo on festival banner
Film Sponsor
Film Sponsors will receive:
- Company name/logo provided as a hotlink paired with
sponsored film in online program listings
- Company name/logo provided in program as sponsoring
film
- Company name/logo projected on screen before film
- Company verbally recognized and thanked by person
introducing film
- Table in theatre lobby for company to display information
Film sponsorship helps defray the costs
of venue rental, screening fees and film shipment and
insurance. Event sponsorship helps defray the costs
of a 1/2 time, 2 month administrative person, marketing
expenses, office expenses, video production, printing,
graphic design and web programming, theatre set-up and
clean-up, volunteer recognition, and all the far too
many incidentals.

Community Partnership
As alluded to at the beginning
of this page, a Community Partner (CP) is a local nonprofit
or like organization that has a mission consistent with
the subject matter of a film. The goal is to permit
audience members who are inspired by a particular film
to find a local organization through which they can
channel their energies. We invite a person from the
CP to attend the screening and participate in a Q and
A session after the film. We also provide a table in
the lobby on which the CP can display their literature.
It is an excellent opportunity for an organization to
increase awareness (of themselves and their mission),
to recruit new members, and to potentially find new
funders. And it is at no cost!
What we ask in exchange is that the CP alert their membership
to the particular film and the film festival, e.g.,
through their newsletter, email updates or other appropriate
avenues.
