Thank
you for your interest in submitting your creative work
to the PINE Film Festival. We welcome animated, documentary
and dramatic works of any length in the thematic areas
of environmental and nature. We interpret the term "environmental"
broadly, likening it to "interconnectedness."
Accordingly, works that explore
our relationship with each other, or with the earth
or between the various organisms with whom we share
the earth, may be included in this category. The term
"nature" is interpreted conventionally and
works in this category typically showcase a particular
species or ecosystem, and possibly the involved or impacted
people.
To
be eligible for PINE 2006, a work must have a release
date of 2001 or later.
We particularly encourage
film/video submissions from under represented areas
of the world and those that expose significant environmental
concerns (or successes) not otherwise exposed.
Pre-screening copies must be submitted on VHS cassette
or DVD in NTSC format only (DVD preferred because of
quality and shipping, less weight/size). Each entry
must be accompanied by a completed Entry Form and the
appropriate Entry Fee. Multiple entries may be sent
in the same package. Please avoid excessive non-biodegradable
packaging. All works submitted should be accessible
to English speaking audiences. Subtitles are preferred.
Deadline for Submitting Entries: December 1,
2005. Entries must be received at our office
on or before this date. Submission results will be sent
via email in December, 2005.
